In the Coronet Room the pretty fireplace was painted over and partly boarded up. We thought it was just a metal fireplace but when it was stripped we found that it's made of quite rare carved Painswick stone, which used to be quarried near a village south of Cheltenham. The double bed has coronet-style drapes and a cherry wood headboard. The original window shutters are in working order. From the window there is a view of a lovely purple plum tree and the garden below. We call this room the Pig room as the bathroom has beautiful pig tiles. We think pigs are beautiful even if others might disagree!
There is an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. The Freeview TV is heavily disguised inside an antique cabinet so it doesn't spoil the period feel of the room. Our Wi-Fi Internet access is free of charge. There are ironing facilities, a small fridge with proper milk and a bottle opener, a hairdryer, and a hospitality tray, as well as those extra items such as a torch, spare blanket, fan heater and fan. We have tried to think of everything a guest might need and our guests often mention our great attention to detail.
